Note: Prices vary with the location of the clinic, the experience of the dentist and the materials used. The Turkish Dental Association 2026 minimum fee guide has been taken as a reference. The final fee is confirmed after examination.
Factors That Affect the Price
1. Number of Canals
This is the biggest price driver:
- Front teeth (incisors, canines): single canal — the most affordable
- Premolars: 1–2 canals — mid-range
- Molars: 3–4 canals — the most expensive
2. Complexity of the Treatment
- Straight canals → standard fee
- Curved, narrow or calcified canals → extra time and cost
- Removing a separated instrument → additional fee
3. First-time Treatment vs Retreatment
A first-time root canal is more affordable. Retreatment — removing the old filling and re-cleaning the canals — costs 50–100% more.
4. Type of Restoration
After root canal treatment the tooth needs to be restored:
- Filling: 1,500 – 3,000 TL (minor tooth loss)
- Crown: 3,000 – 8,000 TL (significant loss, back teeth)
5. Clinic Location and Equipment
- City-centre practices → higher fees
- Clinics using digital radiography and an operating microscope → higher but more precise
Root Canal Treatment or Extraction? A Cost Comparison
| Option | Total Cost | Duration | Outcome |

| Extraction + implant + crown | 15,000 – 35,000 TL | 3–6 months | Artificial tooth |
| Extraction + bridge | 9,000 – 24,000 TL | 2–3 weeks | Adjacent teeth are prepared |

Based on our clinical experience, preserving the natural tooth is always the priority — both biologically and economically, root canal treatment has the edge over extraction.
