Derya Dental Clinic provides panoramic X-ray, dental tomography (CBCT), and cross-sectional analysis services. In addition to patients receiving treatment at our clinic, walk-in patients and physician referrals are also accepted.

Our clinic provides essential dental imaging services needed for treatment planning and surgical evaluation.
Panoramic X-Ray
A two-dimensional imaging method that allows all teeth, jawbones, and adjacent structures to be assessed in a single image.
Dental Tomography (CBCT) - Single Jaw
Three-dimensional imaging of the upper or lower jaw. Used for implant planning, impacted tooth evaluation, and pre-surgical preparation.
Dental Tomography (CBCT) - Dual Jaw
Three-dimensional imaging of both the upper and lower jaws in a single scan. Preferred for comprehensive treatment planning and full jaw assessment.
High-Resolution CBCT
A special high-resolution scan mode for endodontic evaluation. Used for detailed examination of root canal anatomy and periapical regions.
Scan time is approximately 5 minutes. Same-day imaging is available.

What Is a Cross-Sectional Analysis?
A cross-sectional analysis involves the detailed preparation and measurement of dental tomography data for treatment planning. It is primarily performed to provide surgeons with the necessary data prior to implant surgery.

What is evaluated in a cross-sectional analysis?
- Pre-implant bone height and width measurements
- Nerve canal relationship with the planned implant site
- Sinus floor distance and anatomical adjacencies
- Evaluation of impacted tooth relationships
- DICOM format data transfer
Cross-sectional analysis is an image preparation and measurement service only. An official radiological report is not provided. The final assessment and clinical decision should be made by the treating dentist.
Indications
When Is Dental Tomography Required?
Three-dimensional dental tomography (CBCT) evaluation may be necessary in clinical situations where a two-dimensional panoramic X-ray is insufficient.
Implant Planning
Three-dimensional evaluation of bone density, height, and width.
Surgical Evaluation
Anatomical mapping prior to jaw surgery, bone grafting, and sinus lift procedures.
Impacted Tooth Assessment
Determining the relationship of impacted wisdom teeth with the nerve canal and adjacent teeth.
Endodontic Evaluation
Detailed examination of root canal number, curvature, and periapical lesions.
Sinus Floor Examination
Assessment of sinus floor distance and potential sinus pathologies for upper jaw implants.
Anatomical Landmarks
Mapping of critical structures such as the mandibular canal and mental foramen in the lower jaw.

Information for Referring Dentists
Colleagues are welcome to refer their patients to our clinic for imaging purposes. For patients referred by dentists, imaging is performed in accordance with the referring clinician's preferences and expectations.
- Panoramic X-ray, single-jaw and dual-jaw CBCT options are available
- When cross-sectional analysis is requested, the referring dentist should specify the region and expectations
- Images can be delivered digitally to both the patient and the referring dentist
- DICOM format data transfer is available

Process
Image Delivery Process
Imaging
Panoramic X-ray or dental tomography scan takes approximately 5 minutes. You can visit with or without an appointment.
Digital Delivery
Raw image files are sent via e-mail within 15-30 minutes. CD delivery is available upon request for an additional fee.
Cross-Sectional Analysis (Optional)
When cross-sectional analysis is requested, processed images are delivered within an average of 24-48 hours.
Physical prints (film) are not provided. All images are delivered in digital format.
Attention
Pre-Scan Information
Pregnancy
X-ray and tomography scans during pregnancy should not be planned without physician evaluation. The decision on whether imaging is necessary should be made by the treating dentist.
Metal Restorations
Metal restorations in the mouth (bridges, crowns, implants) may create artefacts in tomography images. This is assessed before the scan, and positional adjustments are made if necessary.
Paediatric Patients and Limited Mobility
Imaging can be performed on paediatric patients and individuals with limited mobility. Since brief immobility is required during device positioning, patients are informed before the scan.
