In addition to his clinical oral surgery practice, Dr. Gürel actively pursues work in digital planning and guided surgery. His residency thesis, “In Vitro Comparison of the Accuracy of Zygomatic Implants Placed on Maxillary Models Using Freehand and Computer-Aided Methods”, investigated the accuracy differences between digital surgical planning and conventional methods, establishing his academic foundation in this field.

Over the years, his surgical experience and interest in digital workflows have motivated him to develop new solutions at the intersection of these two fields. To this end, TrueLine Surgical Solutions, which he founded, is an initiative aimed at making digital planning processes in implant surgery more predictable and efficient. The project focuses on patient-specific surgical guide design and manufacturing processes, driven by clinical needs.

While maintaining his specialist practice in oral surgery and implantology at his private office in Ataşehir Flora Residence, Dr. Gürel has also taken an active role in clinic structuring, team coordination, and patient service management as the owner of Derya Dental Clinic in Maltepe since 2023.

This structure, run by a team of five dentists and four support staff, focuses on delivering multidisciplinary dental services in a planned and sustainable manner.

Every patient's clinical condition, expectations, and general health circumstances are different. Therefore, a comprehensive evaluation is conducted before starting treatment; current findings are communicated to the patient in a clear and understandable manner. Treatment options, potential risks, and expected outcomes are discussed together to reach a shared decision-making process.

Advanced technology alone is not sufficient. Correct indication, careful planning, and meticulous surgical execution are the fundamental conditions for a good outcome. Digital tools make this process more predictable; however, clinical judgment and patient safety always remain the top priority.
