Types of Denture and Price Comparison

Removable Dentures

Full Denture: Used for patients who have lost all of their teeth. It rests on the palate and gum ridges.

  • Advantage: The most affordable solution for a full arch
  • Disadvantage: Risk of slippage, reduced chewing efficiency (30–40%)
  • Price: 5,000–12,000 TL (single arch)

Partial Denture: Used when several teeth are missing — retained to the remaining teeth with clasps.

  • Advantage: Affordable, no surgery
  • Disadvantage: Metal clasps can be visible
  • Price: 4,000–10,000 TL

Fixed Prostheses

Crown: A restoration that covers a single tooth. Placed after root canal treatment or on heavily decayed teeth.

Bridge: Missing teeth are replaced by attaching a prosthesis to the adjacent teeth.

  • 3-unit zirconium bridge: 18,000–36,000 TL
  • 3-unit metal-ceramic bridge: 9,000–21,000 TL

Implant-Supported Prostheses

Implant-supported removable: A removable denture retained by 2–4 implants.

  • Far more stable than a conventional full denture
  • Price: 40,000–80,000 TL (single arch)

All-on-4 fixed prosthesis: A permanent bridge fixed onto 4 implants.

  • The most natural feel and chewing function
  • Price: 80,000–150,000 TL (single arch)

Factors That Affect the Price

  • Type of prosthesis: Removable < fixed < implant-supported
  • Material: Acrylic < metal-ceramic < zirconium
  • Number of teeth: The more teeth missing, the higher the cost
  • Additional procedures: Root canal treatment, post and core, implants
  • Laboratory quality: Digital CAD/CAM fabrication is more precise

Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions

What are denture prices in 2026?
A full single-arch denture costs 5,000–12,000 TL, a bridge 9,000–36,000 TL and an implant-supported prosthesis 40,000–150,000 TL. Price depends on the material and type of prosthesis.
How much do false teeth cost?
A full acrylic denture (single arch) costs 5,000–12,000 TL and a flexible silicone denture 6,000–15,000 TL. Treatment of both arches is roughly twice that amount.
Does SGK cover dentures?
Full and partial acrylic dentures are covered by SGK with a contribution fee (for Turkish social insurance holders). Zirconium crowns and implant-supported prostheses are not covered.
Should I choose a denture or an implant?
If the bone is suitable, an implant is superior in every respect: natural feel, preservation of bone, chewing efficiency. A denture is more affordable but less comfortable. If budget allows, an implant gives better long-term value.
Are removable dentures good value?
Removable dentures (4,000–12,000 TL) are the most economical option. However, comfort is lower and they do not prevent bone loss. They may need relining (rebasing) over time.
How much does a palatal (upper) denture cost?
An upper full denture with palatal coverage costs 5,000–12,000 TL. A palate-free design requires implant support and starts at 40,000 TL. ---
