How Is Filling Treatment Performed?
- Examination and X-ray: The size and depth of the cavity is determined
- Local anesthesia: The treatment area is numbed (for deep cavities)
- Decay removal: Infected tooth tissue is removed with specialized instruments
- Filling application: The selected material is applied in layers
- Light curing: Composite filling is hardened with a special curing light
- Shaping: The filling is shaped to match the tooth form and polished
- Bite check: The alignment of upper and lower teeth is verified
The procedure generally takes 20-40 minutes.
