What Does SGK Cover in Dental Treatments?

Dental Treatments Covered by SGK

Fully Covered Treatments

  • Tooth extraction: Simple and surgical extraction
  • Fillings: Amalgam and composite fillings
  • Root canal treatment: Anterior and posterior root canal treatments
  • Abscess treatment: Dental abscess drainage
  • Scaling (tartar cleaning): Once per year

Partially Covered Treatments

  • Prosthetics (dentures): Full and partial dentures (with co-payment)
  • Jaw surgery: In cases of medical indication

Treatments Not Covered by SGK

  • Dental implants: SGK does not cover implant costs. However, partial support equivalent to the prosthesis fee may be obtained with a medical board report
  • Cosmetic treatments: Whitening, laminate veneers, bonding
  • Zirconia crowns: Zirconia and porcelain crowns
  • Orthodontics: Braces and clear aligner treatments (except for those under 18)
  • Advanced surgery: Sinus lifting, bone grafting

Note: Orthodontic treatment for individuals under 18 may be evaluated within SGK coverage. Consult your dentist for details.

Is There SGK Support for Implants?

SGK does not directly cover implant costs. However:

  • Partial support equivalent to the prosthesis fee may be obtained with a medical board report
  • This support covers only a small portion of the implant cost
  • The remaining balance is paid by the patient
