A zirconia crown is a metal-free, all-ceramic dental crown system with a zirconia substructure. It is made from a biocompatible material called zirconium dioxide and offers light translucency matching natural tooth color. It is durable enough to be safely applied to both anterior and posterior teeth.

A precise impression is taken using digital or conventional methods. A temporary crown is placed.
4. Try-In and Bonding
The zirconia crowns manufactured in the laboratory are tried in the mouth, and after confirming the fit, they are permanently bonded.
Treatment is generally completed in 2-3 sessions.
How Long Do Zirconia Crowns Last?
Zirconia crowns can be used without issues for 15-20 years with proper care and regular check-ups. To extend their lifespan:
- Regular daily tooth brushing and flossing
- Dental check-ups every 6 months
- Avoiding excessively hard foods
- Using a night guard if teeth grinding is present
