Digital dentistry involves enhancing traditional dental treatments with computer-aided technologies. Thanks to technologies such as 3D scanning, digital impressions, CAD/CAM fabrication, and AI-assisted diagnosis, treatments have become more precise, faster, and more comfortable.

Technologies Used in Digital Dentistry
1. Digital Intraoral Scanners
Instead of traditional impression molds, the oral cavity is imaged with 3D digital scanning. This method:
- Does not cause a gag reflex
- Takes more precise impressions
- Is instantly viewable on a computer
2. CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography)
Provides 3-dimensional jaw and tooth imaging. It is critically important especially for implant planning and bone graft decisions.
3. CAD/CAM Technology
With computer-aided design and manufacturing, crowns, veneers, and bridges are designed and produced in a digital environment. This is much faster than the traditional laboratory process.
4. Digital Smile Design (DSD)
A personalized smile design is created by digitally planning facial analysis and tooth proportions.
